SLO Morning :)

As promised,  this morning my little sis and I ventured
to the great city of San Luis Obispo, CA for some more yard sale-ing. Although
it was a SLO start (haha.... pun intended), we ended up with some major scores.

My favorite piece is this awesome trunk..... I'm obsessed with it!

Inside of the Trunk- I'm thinking about taking out the
old lining and putting in cedar closet liner.....
that way it smells yummy.... and makes it
 totally functional!
 Up-Close

 Little table....

Gold picture frame....

Silver Oil Tray.... Can't you see it as a cute magnetic chalk board?
Coffee Crate....

Up Close of the Crate- This guy needs a little cleaning
up, but it has SO much character! So cute as a side table!

Iron Wall Hook....

So there it is! Not too shabby.
I can't wait to see my hubby's face
when I come home with all this stuff. Wish me luck :)

Lucky Yard Sales....

Ahhh, nothing like a good... no, great... morning of yard sale-ing! Since my family has been staying in Cayucos all week, we thought it would be fun to see what the local yard sales had to offer! It was a Friday morning, so we only found 4 spots to check out..... but boy am I sure glad we went! Here are our finds.....
Night Stand.... found at a "Rummage Sale"
at a Senior Living Home in Morro Bay.

2 Scrabble games, 1 mirror, 2 picture frames,
a silver cream cup, and a green vase....

Close-up of the picture frames and the mirror.

Cute chair at the same "Rummage Sale".

Close-up of the chair seat.... I'll probably redo the
fabric b/c of the stains, but it is still cute just the way it is!

Excited to go out again tomorrow morning with my sister! (She scored some pretty sweet stuff too- maybe ill get some pics later!) SLO yard sales here we come! :)

"Operation Clean Up"

It was "Operation Clean Up" week in Fresno, which for most people is a great opportunity for them to get rid of a bunch of junk- clean out the house..... put what they don't want anymore on the curb in the front of their house..... the dump truck comes and takes it away. BUT, for me it was such a thrill to drive around neighborhoods trying to beat Mr. Dump Truck to all the good stuff! Call me crazy, but it really was SO fun! Here are a few of the things I picked up- I can't wait to get to work on them!

These ones are some Thrift store finds that I'm OBSESSED with.... I am debating on what to do with them- possibly a fun collage in our bedroom? We shall see.... I'll let you know when I decide!

To Be Restored....

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself RESTORE you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Craigslist Jackpot....

So yesterday I was pa-rousing on Craigslist just like I do almost every day..... and lo and behold I discovered something amazing! A super unique "potato/onion" bin was for sale in Visalia....  The picture was so promising- so of course I was on it right away!

My sis came with me, and we ended up at this cute country house owned by the sweetest people. The best part was that they had lots of STUFF. I'm talking like a big 'ole barn full of old stuff. So besides the great potato bin, I ended up with an old door, 3 old windows, and the cutest little chair.

If I had a bigger budget and more room I would have taken so much more!!!! I will just have to go back ;) It all needs a little TLC, but that's what this is all about right? I can't wait to get it home.... show it to my dear hubby, and get to work! Not sure what will become of it quite yet, but I will keep you updated!
